TAKE A LOOK AT OUR STEP BY STEP PROCESS

1. Remove the doors and drawer fronts from the frames. All the work on the doors, drawer fronts will be performed at the contractor’s spray shop. Both sides of the doors and drawer fronts will be spray painted.

2. The frames will be painted on the spot with thin nap roller by default; or they will be spray painted, if you choose full spray paint option. The frames include all the exposed sides of the cabinets, the lip of the frame, toe kick and all moldings attached to the frames of the cabinets. The exposed shelves with no cabinet doors will be painted. Bottom part of the cabinets will not be painted, unless requested by the client, then can be done for additional charge. The insides of the cabinets will not be painted; only insides of wall cabinets with see through glass doors will be painted. The removable decorative side panels (if you have them) will be spray painted like the doors.

3. Clean the cabinets from grease using heavy-duty degreaser.

4. Light sanding and scuffing of existing finish to remove any scaling or peeling of existing finish and to promote penetration and adhesion.

5. Application of appropriate primer. Spray coat on the doors, and drawer fronts, rolling and brush on the cabinet frames. Primer to be used: Envirolak Envirothane primer on the doors, drawer fronts and frames (2 coats).

6. Repair cracks, dents. Glue cabinet separations. Fill cabinet seams with epoxy filler, Skim with wood filler.

7. Sand all repairs.

8. Apply second coat of primer.

9. Light sanding as needed after application of primer.

10. Application of first coat of paint with customer’s desired color. Light sanding as needed after application of 1st coat. Paint to be used: Envirolak Envirothane paint on frames,  doors and drawer fronts.

11. Application of second coat.

12. Install all the doors and drawer fronts back. Install the hardware back. Install new bumpers on the doors and drawers.

All the work should be completed within 2-3 weeks from the start date. Days can vary depending on the size of the kitchen and schedule.
